About SSE

The Symbiosis School of Economics seeks to develop intellectual discipline and valuable skill sets required for rational thinking and optimal decision making. The approach is descriptive and analytical and many issues of national and international policy are considered. Economics at SSE is regarded and taught as a part of liberal education and provides an especially relevant background for several professions. The course has been designed with an inclination towards - Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Law, Environment and Politics. As a result, it provides a strong foundation in Economic theory and practice. With its interdisciplinary flavour it prepares students for post graduation courses in Law, Journalism, Business and Economics and provide them with career opportunities in various industries, financial institutions, media & communication, government, research and academia. The environment here is disciplined & rigorous, at the same time giving plenty of scope for creativity, originality and student initiatives.

  • The parents have access to the progress reports of their wards through a 'Student Outreach Central' portal provided on the college website.
  • Unique International Collaborations: SSE has collaborations with the London School of Economics, NTU Singapore & others and runs internationalization & exchange programmes like -Ontario Maharashtra & Goa Programme.
  • In House Publication: The college editorial board which is an active body aims at publishing its first in-house magazine by 2011. All the faculty members & students have thought it to be imperative to come together to take this initiative.
  • Teacher Student Ratio: The healthy teacher student ratio with a good number of dedicated full time & visiting faculties to teach & groom the students through the mentoring system makes SSE a home away from home for the students
